Our first visit to Gabriola Island was in 2013, after returning from Thailand. A friend of Sara owns a vacation home on the Island, and it is rarely used, so we were able to spend some time on the Island.

The people (like all Canadians everywhere, in our experience) were very friendly and helpful. We frequented the various beaches and walking trails, and made trips to neighboring Islands like Salt Spring. Our time exploring the area around Vancouver Island left a lasting impression on both of us. It's by far one of the most beautiful places we have been privledged to spend time exploring.
