I first visited British Columbia in the late 1990's on a family vacation. I liked it so much, in 2007 I obtained a Canadian work visa and lived in West Vancouver for a short time. Then in 2013 and again in 2016 I returned with Sara, living on Gabriola Island and in the Columbia Valley.

While on Gabriola Island, we would make occasional trips to the big island and the mainland to shop and explore. For a long time Vancouver was my favorite city in North America, and we really enjoyed visting places like Victoria and Salt Spring Island. Beautiful BC, the slogan on British Columbia license plates, is very appropriate.
