About Seann
Systems Architect and Programmer, with 15 years experience facilitating the design and installation of Audio Video, Lighting and Automation systems.
In 2009 I shut down my business, moving to a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina to write a book. It was at that point that synchronicity led to a path that could not have been anticipated...
"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us." -Joseph Campbell
For the last 15 years, I have been exploring various Asian cultural and spiritual traditions with my old friend Sara. We have written a book about our experience, and I am starting the next venture...

It all started in San Diego...
In the summer of 1971 my parents spent some time surfing and exploring in the San Diego area, and nine months later I was born.
According to my father, on occasion I would have conversations with people who weren't there. As we now know, some children are much more open to paranormal experiences when they are young, and not all imaginary friends are imaginary.
My school years were not very pleasant. I knew things (and didn't know to keep it to myself), which annoyed teachers and other students. By the time high school came around, lunch hours were mostly spent in the Library reading Popular Mechanics magazines and a variety of books. Eventually I tested out of high school to attend technical college, which was liberating.
Career
A childhood interest in engineering and electronics, led to a career designing electronic systems. For a commercial client it might be a camera, card access or phone system, and a residential client might need an audio-video, automation or lighting control system. The principles were the same for any type of client or system; determine what they hoped to achieve, design a system that fulfilled those needs, then pull together and manage the people and parts needed to implement the system.
Throughout my career I was fortunate to work with, and learn from, a lot of very talented people. The early mentorship of more experienced co-workers, employers and clients, allowed me to develop not only technical expertise, but most importantly the ability to effectively work with a wide variety of people.
After spending a few years as co-founder of an AV company, the remainder of my career was as an independent designer, programmer and consultant to other companies. All work came via referals from previous clients, or others in the industry.
And now...
Despite a longer list of projects on the to-do list than time left in this life, the current priority is to finish publishing the In The Eternal 今 series of books. Out of all of the things I would like to do in this life, communicating the larger picture of life that reincarnation provides, is definitely the most important.
Technology and engineering are interesting, and in some ways have made our lives easier. However, it seems we are coming to a point in our evolution as a global society that we need to remember what our ancestors once knew, consciousness is eternal. Everything physical, including our technology, is only temporary.
The reason we are sharing our story, is to illustrate that the work we do on ourselves, becoming better people, helping others, and contributing meaningful things to the world, has implications that extend beyond this one lifetime. What we do, and the way we live our lives, matters more than we realize...
