Walton's equipment

Client: Undisclosed
Scope: Commercial Electronics

In 2006, I was asked to design an audio-video system for a new restaurant in Austin called Bess Bistro. The client had two specific requirements: exceptional sound quality at low volume and simple operation. For the intimate dining space, I focused extensively on speaker placement for both the interior and outdoor patio areas.

I repurposed a Crestron touchscreen from a previous project for the client, installing it at the bar and integrating the system with their music player. I also installed a dedicated wireless network for customer use.

A few years later, the same client opened Walton's Fancy and Staple across the street. For this venue, the focus shifted to large displays for product promotion rather than audio quality. For this project I designed a Crestron audio system with a compact touchscreen for straightforward operation, and a security camera system for the exterior areas.
