For many years Sara and I drove thru Oregon along I-5, usually while going to and from the Vancouver area, and would often stop in Ashland. Besides the interesting shops, bookstores, the Ashland Food Co-op, and of course Ruby's, we really enjoyed walking thru Lithia Park.

In 2014 we rented a home in a nearby valley for a few months, before relocating to Taiwan. During that time we were able to visit Ashland on a regular basis, not just as tourists passing by while on the way to somewhere else. We really enjoyed spending time in the area, and for a time considered living there full-time.

Those who have called Ashland home are very fortunate, there aren't many places like it.
