Client: Aerospace Executive
Scope: Automation and Lighting

Out of all the high-end homes I worked on during my 15-year career, this had the best pool. The house sits outside Georgetown, north of Austin, on ranch-sized property overlooking a river and private pastures.

The house had 50 Crestron touchscreens—one in every room for lighting and AV control, at each patio door for outdoor systems, at the pool bar for music and pool/spa controls, in the garage for arrival/departure, a wireless touchscreen in the family room, and larger panels in the dedicated theater and kitchen.

The system integrated lighting, security, thermostats, and AV throughout the house. One button press in the garage could arm security, adjust lighting based on time of day, turn off all TVs and music, and switch thermostats to away mode. Any audio or video source could be accessed from any room.

This was the largest Crestron project I'd worked on, and the biggest the dealer I was contracting for had sold—roughly $750k total, split between Crestron equipment, lighting control, and AV systems.
