I recently told someone that after 16 years the book is finally done, to which he replied, "Well it took Ayn Rand 25 years to write her first book, so you are ahead of schedule". We Meet Again is not The Fountainhead, but then again, there is a lot more work involved when you are also playing the role of publisher.

Sara wrote the first version, so technically I am only co-author. My primary role was enhacing the original story with more historical detail, adding transcipts of our recorded conversations, and then adding details like locations and relevant photos. I also helped translate the Chinese version into English, created an electronically enhanced Bibliography using QR Codes, then formatted and typeset the print book and created an ePub version for modern e-readers.

In retrospect it's a good thing I didn't know everything involved in the process of publishing, otherwise I might have taken the easy route and accepted an offer from a small publisher in San Diego. Now that everything is done, I am mostly happy with the end result, and Sara is finally ready to share our story...
