Austin, Texas

Downtown Austin

Austin was home for 5 years. My first apartment was above the garage of a home on Lake Travis, then I moved closer to West Lake Hills. Ultimately I found an old cabin on homestead property bordering the Brightleaf Preserve. That year was my last in Austin, and the start of a new chapter of my life story.

Austin is a great town, and has grown exponentially since leaving in 2009. Several clients had homes or retreat properties outside of town, near places like Dripping Springs, and I remember the wide open spaces on the scenic drive to those little towns. The last time I visited, that drive now appears to be one vast suburban landscape, full of shopping centers, condo complexes and residential developments. Apparently a lot of people like living in Austin, or at least near it, which is completely understandable.
