Shiva on Wolf Watch. One morning while sipping on coffee, I heard Shiva on the porch growling, so I went out to see what has happening. It all happened very fast, but there was a wolf, much larger than her, standing in the driveway where you can see the gravel under the leaves.

It froze when it saw me, and instictively I yelled loudly, "HEY!" and raised my arms. It ran into the trees, and I heard several more in the distance that I couldn't see run off with it. Shiva jumped off the porch and ran after it, despite me calling for her to come back.

For a few minutes I wasn't sure if she would make it back alive, and was about to grab the closest thing to a weapon that I had and run after her. Fortunately she came running back without any signs of being in a fight. She spent the rest of our time there doing what she is doing in this picture, watching the forest, listening intently, doing her best to guard the cabin.
